Winter Olympics - Amy Williams wins gold for GB

The crowd was roaring her name. Amy, Amy, Amy! This came after Amy Williams won a gold medal at the Winter olympics

We all know that Brits are well known for the support for athletes and travel all over the globe. Every single one of those 2000 fans went out and supported each athlete with every ounce of energy they had.

While this was all happening, Gold Medallist - Amy Williams was in shock and awe. The feeling that she actually won a gold medal and fully sunk in. She stood on the podium and collected her medal with the crowd applauding such a fine sportswoman.

After winning Gold and composing herself after some time, Amy said "Yes, it feels a bit real now". But no doubt that it will fully sink in over the next few days as she gets to relac with her family especially her Mum and Dad, Jan and Ian.

Amy was trying her best to hold back the tears but finally gave in when she was shown internet footage of her brother Simon and twin sister Ruth leading the celebrations back home at her Pulteney Arms local in Bath. The day Amy Williams won Gold for herself, her family, and her country will never be forgotten by so many people. She will go down in history knowing that she deserves every bit of fame and glory she gets from now on.

To top it all off the Prime Minister - Gordon Brown even sent her a message of congratulations on his own birthday. This shows the appreciation her country has for her and for all the hard work she has put in to make it where she is today.

Today is a day of celebration, and a day that many will never forget. Congratulations Mrs Williams, you deserve it!
